A different approach to building the robot body
Allonic describes a manufacturing process called 3D Tissue Braiding. Instead of treating a robot body only as a collection of rigid parts, its approach combines a scaffold with braided soft structures and tendon-like elements. This is work on how robotic mechanisms are made, not simply a new control model.
The company presents a Hand Mk2 alongside its manufacturing technology. The distinction helps explain the development stage. A hand or fabrication process can support future robots without establishing that a complete humanoid is being shipped commercially.
Questions worth asking
For an engineering evaluation, ask for fatigue life, repair methods and the effect of material variation on movement. Compare actuator, tendon and sensor replacement costs. A compelling motion recording does not answer whether the same mechanism can be manufactured consistently.
