Simulation

CARLA

CARLA is an open-source simulator for autonomous driving research with configurable towns, sensors and traffic actors.

Source check recorded

A practical check for CARLA

Fix the map, weather, traffic seed and sensor configuration before comparing driving policies. Record collisions and missed route segments over repeated routes. Performance in one simulated town leaves other road layouts untested.

The official CARLA ROS bridge documentation supports ROS 1 and ROS 2 communication. Match the bridge, simulator and ROS distribution versions before installation. Bridge support was checked on October 11, 2026; other compatibility fields retain their earlier source date.
