Mobile and logistics robotics

Autonomous Forklifts

Autonomous forklifts combine driverless movement with fork positioning and load handling. The pallet, load center and lift height affect each mission.

How these robots work

The vehicle approaches a pallet, aligns its forks, lifts and transports the load. Navigation must coordinate with the load-handling sequence.

How to compare the task

Measure completed pallet moves including engagement and placement. A rated load alone cannot establish capacity at every lift height or load center.

Examples and applications

  • Pallet transfer
  • Warehouse putaway
  • Production supply

Limits of this category

  • Poor pallet condition can prevent pickup.
  • Tall or offset loads change vehicle clearance and stability.

What to check for the intended task

  • Test damaged and misaligned pallets
  • Measure fork engagement failures
  • Check aisle clearance with the carried load
